Does the gas fireplace work during a power outage?

Can I get a thermostat on my gas fireplace?

  • Yes, on most models.

Can I get a fan installed on my fireplace?

  • Most models with louvres in the front may be able to have a fan installed. Please see your owner’s manual.

How do I remove my glass on the fireplace?

  • Most models with louvres in the front may be able to have a fan installed. Please see your owner’s manual.

Should I leave batteries in my IPI fireplace?

  • We advise you to add batteries when there is a power outage.

Can I install a TV above my fireplace?

  • You must see the owner’s manual of the TV.

Do I need my fireplace inspected?

  • Yes, it is recommended to have your fireplace cleaned/serviced. See owner’s recommendations for more information.

Can I move the logs around in my fireplace?

  • The logs are engineered for your particular model. There may be options available, please see your manual for upgrading log sets or crystals.

Can I turn off my pilot light over summer months?

  • It is not recommended for areas with high humidity. Otherwise, you can turn off the pilot light but will have to re-light the pilot when needed.

Can I install a fireplace in the bedroom?

  • Yes, please see a qualified installer to size the fireplace correctly and install a thermostat.

Can I convert my gas fireplace to a wood fireplace?

  • No.

What size fireplace do I need to heat up my living space?

  • The “size” of your fireplace is measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units which are a traditional measure of heat). By understanding the volume of space that requires heating, we can determine how many BTUs your fireplace needs to be to adequately warm your house.
